Album #3 Carnival

Here you see us trying on the costumes with Patricia's help and then a couple of shots that Jorge gave us the actual night just after the rain and minutes before we headed down the "Avenue".

There are a couple of pictures from a Blocko that was especially devoted to the children but I forgot my camera so Jorge supplied these photos as well. The little girl was riding along in the arms of a clown on stilts. And the musicians....need no elaboration. We were samba-ing along with the crowd. It was a hot but wonderful afternoon.

Album #4 Tara and the Tarot

The photos of the dance and the teaching were Jorge's. He was in the rafters with one of Anahata's video cameras. But he kept his photo camera with him as well, lucky us.

Most of the attendees of the Tara and Tarot workshop were members of Grupo Flame or our pilgrims but we did have two lovely young women join us, The workshop took place in a huge building that was devoted to performance arts. We had the front room and you can see us hanging out the balcony in the next set of pictures, "Mulheres de Liu". Joao came along with us and made full use of the room behind our dance space to practice his tumbling talents. Rui only showed up at the end to take us to dinner and regal us with yet more stories of his Beloved City.
