Celebration of the Divine Feminine Retreat

title

at Camp Naue,

Haena, Kauai, Hawaii

August 2008

Glorious Rainbows appear often during our Camp!

Kauai is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Jagged peaks covered with brilliant green rainforest dive into the brilliant blue Pacific Ocean. Haena is a remote area on the North Shore. Nestled in the neighborhood, right on a golden sand beach is the YMCA Camp Naue.

During this ten day retreat Prema Dasara, Anahata Iradah and Guest Teachers will guide the group in celebrating the divine feminine through music and dance, meditation and dharma dialogue.

The opening three days will be devoted to “White Tara”, practices of deep healing, inner peace, purification and balance.

The week that follows will be devoted to diving deeply into the practice of Tara and her Mandala Dance. We will also be working with several new dance offerings, including the Mystery Play of the 5 Wisdom Dakinis.

The weekend will be devoted to developing an offering ritual of the Mandala of the 21 Praises of Tara. Island residents have the option to attend only the weekend if they cannot come for the rest of the retreat.

Prema Dasara will be the mysteress of ceremonies, using all the resources of weather and wonder to draw us into the deepest part of our inner realization

Anahata Iradah is our camp director, seeing to every detail of our comfort and the easy flow of events. She will focus classes on the music and song of the  Tara Dances, and share some beautiful new Dances of Universal Peace. She has continued developing the Mindfulness techniques of her teacher Shinzen Young and will be directing us into the deep sea depths of our own mind.

Lama Tashi will conduct us in some of the powerful yogic practices of Tibetan Buddhist Tantra.

Watch Divine Sunsets

Sunsets are breathtaking!

August is a beautiful time to be in Kauai. At the camp there are night blooming cirrus, huge, moon like flowers hanging from the trees. We will have plenty of time to swim, the crystal water is home to honua, the island turtles. Brief tropical showers often bring beautiful rainbows. We will celebrate the elements with a fire on the beach, meditation under the stars.
