We had an amazing night in Mex City with 23 women participating, , deep souls and one who I haven’t seen since we learned the Green Tara practice together from Khenpo Khartar Rinpoche in 2014. Lots of interest for more including online and a potential mandala.

I’ve sold the 3 Dancing Tara books I had in Spanish and will be sharing links to music and books later this week.
A truly rich experience. Pics to come.

More from Hope bringing TaraDhatu and the Tara Dances to Mexico
Traveling to Mexico to share dances of Tara with the support of Prema and Myri and representing TD and TDSA was a deep pleasure and great joy for me this year as I returned to the sacred circle dance camp Mitotl for the second year in a row in Tepeyehualco July 24-27, 2025. I have been joining international sacred circle camp camps in Mexico organized by Gwyn Peterdi over the course of 27 years. Last year I decided that I’d like to attend the Mexican Women’s sacred circle dance retreat MItotl and when I did, my friend Cristina Mendoza, one of the organizers, asked if I would like to share dances of Tara at the camp and I said yes! Over the past nine years, when I travel to Mexico I have been sharing Tara’s preliminary practices when I can and this year, given the times we are living in, I decided that I really wanted to return and go deeper and build the garden that could sustain ongoing practice. At Mitotl this year we danced: Oración de Motivación; Shantideva; Mantra Dance; Om Ah Hum; and Qué Todos Tengan Felicidad. This was building on the foundation of what was shared last year at Mitotl and in bits and pieces over the years at Gwyn’s Mexico Dance Festival. This year I also brought beautiful Tara cards that Vesta designed with Green Tara on one side and with the Prayer of Motivation in Spanish on the back; and also a White Tara card that she made that says “May All Beings Be Happy, May All Beings Be Free” in Spanish on the back. Tara Divine Mother is awake in our Mexican sisters’ hearts, and her garden is blossoming! This year Monica Taboeada who has been inspired to organize Tara retreats for me in the past, asked if she could organize a day long Tara retreat at her family home in Puebla. I said yes and she called upon the help of her friends Danila and Angie to organize with her. It was a very uplifting and full day of dance on Sunday August 3 and many who I had met several years earlier at a spontaneous day long retreat at Monica’s family ranch, enthusiastically returned. We danced on a covered patio and friends brought delicious foods to share. I taught in Spanish and we practiced: Oración de Motivación; Refugio y Bodhicitta; Shantideva; Danza de las 21 Cualidades de Tara; Tara Branca; and QuéTodos Tengan Felicidad. My friend Lidia supported me and after the day was done, a few people were able to stay on for Prema’s monthly zoom call that got projected up on a wall inside Monica’s home. In the end we were 29 in total, and over the course of the day a few sacred circle dances were also enjoyed. My final Tara offering on this trip took place on the evening of Monday August 4 in Mexico City (CDMX) inspired by my friend Adriana Garza who has been dancing Tara with me in Mexico and online for nine years now. She contacted Laura Monges, a dance movement therapist in CDMX, who also leads sacred circle dance and hosts international teachers, and they organized a rich evening of Tara dance at her studio in Colonia Roma. The group went deep. And I got to reconnect with Leslie Serna who I had originally met learning the Tibetan Green Tara practice from Khenpo Khartar Rinpoche at KTD Monastery in Woodstock, NY in 2014. As a group of 23 women, we offered our heartfelt prayers for each other, for our beloved Mother Earth and as a means to end all war. We have since created a Tara Mexico Whatsapp group to stay in touch!May all beings benefit!Love, Hope
More from Hope’s offerings in Mexico

I’m at an elemental dakini retreat at Dayspring Camp and Conference Center in Parrish, Fl with Lopon Ellen Church Booth of Tara Mandala working the dakini mandala. We have made masks that we’re decorating. Today I will offer White Tara in the closing ceremony.
I can recommend this retreat center. Getting more info. It’s extremely economical and has held us well with nice nature. I have also been deepening in my practice of Simhamukha.
Much love and many blessings, Hope

And Hope plants a TARA STATUE atop a sacred female mountain

Adri Garza from San Luis Potosí, Mexico and I first planted our Tara prayers for Mexico at La Peña del Bernal in Queretero after a long hike up this sacred female mountain chanting Tara’s mantra. We first prayed and danced together there in 2016!
