Anjali Maazel
Anjali is an artist, writer and teacher who introduced the Tara dance lineage to the beautiful Palri Pema Od Ling Tibetan Buddhist temple and co-hosted Prema’s return to the Austin area in 2014. She initiated Prema’s Long Life Prayer project.
We are so excited to be able to offer the Tara Dances again in person on the first Sundays of the month beginning July 2, 2-4 PM! The location: a magical (air-conditioned) yurt in the heart of Wimberley, TX!
Sign up 🌺 here 🌺 (required to attend)
And save these dates: – July 2
– August 6
– September 3
– October 1
– November 5
– December 3
Our first practice will center on the Dance of the 21 Qualities of Tara, the preparation for the more elaborate Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara, which we will be working towards.
Our first meditation will focus on Green Tara, the Central Tara of the Mandala, out of whom every manifestation is born. So please wear green or a green accessory to honor this Goddess. And bring an item for our altar if you like as well as a food offering to share with the group.
We will dance to benefit ourselves, our community, our planet, and all beings. May all be auspicious!
Note: I am especially excited about this, because there is a group of amazing women here in Wimberley who have offered support and a beautiful, round, air-conditioned yurt (see attached short videos) that can easily hold 30+ dancers and audience!
