Prema shares more New Year Inspiration :

While the world may seem to be going ballistic,Wars, famine, inhumanity, greed;
In the heart, abides the inner mystic,
Watering love’s pure unborn seed.
From the unseen depths, beyond what appears,
Where stillness reigns, and the mind mud clears,
We plant the future with our highest vision,Focusing here,
our conscious decision.
That we give our energy to bring forth the best,
Aware of our part in what will manifest. With Thoughts, actions and words…we plant seeds we sow,With blessings to all, hau’oli makahiki hou!

 Divine Mother Tara, a new year unfolds before me,
 inviting, exciting, open and free. What does it hold?
Will I clutter it with my little hopes and grandiose resolutions?
Will I squander its lovely spaciousness in stifling fears and narrow desires?
I call on you, Star Traveler, to be my guide and my companion in this world and beyond.
With heart and mind clear like space, I will stride into this new year
with welcoming arms, a fearless pilgrim among the universes.

And finally a letter I received as a member of the Dances of Universal Peace of North America. So profound and inspiring I had to share it.

Dear North American Dance Family, What if the noise in the world is not a distraction from our path, but the very storm that calls us to return home? What if the amplification of division is, in fact, the impulse which allows the creative muse of peace to activate our potential as vessels for love, kindness and healing in our world?Murshid SAM shared with us: “Verily, this is the sacred dance . . . let us venture, pioneering as angels where fools fear to tread. When humankind, terrorized by conflict and faced with the ruin of their civilization, when the power of wealth has dominated justice . . let us in spite of what occurs before our eyes, invoke the Divine Spirit through love and beauty, that we may restore order and balance to humanity…”We are each a creative medium. This is our practice and our purpose. A gift and a responsibility. What we create arises in response to what we are paying attention to—and how we are paying attention. How might the way we pay attention shift reality itself? And how might we do this together?Consciousness is shaped by what we give our attention to and how we offer that attention. Our direct experience becomes our teacher. Our concentration and entrainment raises the collective vibration and uplifts the prayer. For so many of us, this seed is what we practice and share in the Dance circle. How do we translate this living quality of awareness into concrete acts of compassion, into the strength to stay and becoming conduits for service? How do we embody the resilience and capacity needed to activate ourselves in service to the present moment and to our desire for peace?Through music and movement, breath and attunement, we have been gifted a practice that can serve as a powerful home base. When we return to it again and again, this home base brings us back home to ourselves and helps us remember our true natures and potential as peacemakers. When we return to our home base, the way we relate to ourselves and each other is necessarily transformed. The way we enter our circle, our community, our world—becomes then a living blessing to one another and to the world. We come home, not alone, but together. During this season in which we continue to face uncertainty and unknowing in our world, may you be blessed with the homecoming of this remembrance. Amen.Love, The DUPNA Board & Staff

We join hands and hearts in the circle of the sacred danceAnd ask for a rain of blessingsTo pour upon our worldThanks for staying with me as I share with you The kind of inspiration that keeps me going. You, my friends, are part of the inspiration that keeps me goingwith lovePrema
