Andrea writes…

Drolma Yuldhog, is a Tara Puja performed for the purpose of removing all kinds of obstacles for the sake of all beings. I arranged to have this special puja performed on February 8th the Tibetan 8th day, during the last month of the Iron Ox Year. The 8th of every Tibetan month is a special Tara Day. From the depth of my heart I pray that all of our prayers and offerings help to remove the Covid virus from Nepal and the whole world…

When the Drolma Yuldhog puja began I started to light our lamps making
prayers for the wellbeing of all…

Here is the three-dimensional framed house, a model of a celestial mansion, surrounded with spiritual symbols…it was made to trap all interfering spirits.  At the end of the puja it is dismantled.

The first part of this offering is a Yamantaka puja. He is the wrathful form of Manjushri, a guardian and destroyer of death.  Tara requested Yamantaka’s puja to be performed first to assist in the removing of obstacles.

Ghen Penden made strong prayers…from the depth of his heart he sent

positive energy to Yamantaka…

Ghen Ngawang Nima, Sonam and the other monks also made strong prayers…may

both Yamantaka and Tara remove all obstacles and bring happiness to all…

Ghen Jampa one of our main monks made compassionate prayers to Yamantaka

and Tara…requesting them to remove all the horrible obstacles in the world.

The Dolma Yuldok (Drolma Yuldhog) puja, was originally composed by Acharya

Nagarjuna, he performed this puja to dispel unwanted obstacles and to obtain the

realization of awakened mind

I had arranged five hundred lamps outside the monastery, to be lit during this puja  sending positive energy from our Holy Hill…

May our family, friends and all beings in the world receive the warmth of the lights and

boundless compassion…Tara, please remove all obstacles of sickness and war

Guru Rinpoche performed this ritual to help save a town that was inflicted with an epidemic that took the lives of thousands.  Guru Rinpoche used this ritual to pacify the local spirits and clear the air.

The first time I heard this I felt we needed to have this puja performed to heal us of the horrible Covid viruses that were affecting so many people throughout Nepal and the whole world. I was told the best way to negate these situations is by having the Drolma Yuldhog ritual done.

While I was sitting in both the Yamantaka puja and Drolma Yuldhog puja I read my list of names: those who have passed away, may they take a precious rebirth, those who are sick may they be cured of their physical problems and all obstacles be removed and may all beings have healthy, wonderful lives!

Choesang also read all of the papers I prepared with the names of those who passed away…those who are sick and all who made offerings for our pujas, and the names of friends and family sponsors submitted.

May our lights brilliantly sent positive energy for the wellbeing of all…

A male and female figure were made with tsampa flour representing the puja’s sponsors…they were placed in front of the celestial mansion for the purpose of removing all of their obstacles…the small pieces of tsampa placed in front of them were made by the monks and me…I made extra pieces of tsampa for my family and for everyone on my lists.

First I made one for those who passed away, another one for those who are sick and a third one for all the sponsors…the purpose of these are to remove everyones obstacles, sicknesses and misfortunes…

All harmful spirits were sent into the celestial mansion for the purpose of dispelling the unwanted obstacles. They were ritually removed from the prayer room.

they successfully managed to revoke all kinds of obstacles…

May all of our obstacles, diseases and misfortunes be removed

taken to the jungle below our gompa…

down the outside steps in front of the entrance of our monastery…

the three-dimensional framed palace

the special tormas and the male and female figures are thrown into the forest

the mansion is  taken apart…

all interfering spirits were sent away…

while the final prayers in the monastery were being made…

everyone’s obstacles  were thrown into the jungle… everyone’s obstacles have been removed!

We returned to the temple and made offerings to the monks as the dedication prayers were being read.

All beings have received Tara’s blessings dispelling obstacles and diseases!!!

I am traveling at the moment but when I return to Kathmandu If I can arrange enough money and the timing, I will try to continue requesting this puja as much as possible

May we continue sending positive energy and light out to all…I pray that all sickness and wars be forever ended and that all may be auspicious.

May All Beings Be Happy!

May All Beings Be Free!
