I’ve just recently returned from an 8-day retreat at TaraLing, Tara Dhatu’s Tara Temple in Brazil– 8 days of love, laughter, learning and celebrating the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara. It was beautiful and amazing! Mostly women and a few men from 5 countries and practices in Portuguese and English (with a few Spanish speakers as well). I hope you can open and view the attached video which shows snippets of TaraLing and our retreat.
There are a number of Zoom online daily Tara Circles: the one I participate in and generally lead on Mondays happens at 8:00 am to roughly 9:00 am (and has been happening every day since March 2020):
Other circles can be found on the Tara Dhatu website here:
I hold monthly in-person circles at the Abode of the Message usually on the 4th Sunday of the month from 2 to 4 in the Meditation Hall. My next one will be on Sunday, June 28. (I ask a sliding scale donation from $5 to $25 which primarily goes to the Abode for the use of the Hall; 1 10% tithe goes to Tara Dhatu; I do not take anything for my service).
The 4th Sunday in July will be the last day of the Women’s Visionary Retreat. I will likely not hold a circle that afternoon as I will be presenting some Tara practices as part of the retreat that morning. And then the 4th Sunday of August will be part of a Tara Retreat led by Prema Dasara and MyriDakini Naves, my Tara teachers who led the retreat in Brazil and lead retreats all over the world. Check out the Tara Dhatu website (taradhatu.org) for a complete schedule of events.
So Save the Date: August 28-30! Our practice will be the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara, an inspiring practice done for the benefit of all beings. If you cannot participate in the full retreat, there will be a public offering of the Dance, in beautiful costume, Sunday afternoon the 30th. More information and registration coming to the Abode website soon (theabode.org).
May you dance in Tara’s Love and Light!
Om Tare!
