We just received news that Bardor Tulku Rinpoche passed away after a prolonged illness. We send our condolences to his wife, daughters, and the many students that were privileged to study with this gentle and profound master of the dharma.
When I offered the first few Tara Dance at the Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery in upstate New York, Bardor Tulku and Khenpo Karthar were in charge of the monastery and were very kind and welcoming. Bardor Tulku’s youngest daughter danced the Tara of Invincible Courage my third visit there.
In 2003, Rinpoche established Kunzang Palchen Ling, a Tibetan Buddhist Center in Red Hook, New York. We were able to offer White Tara of the Six Shields to Garchen Rinpoche there, after an empowerment of Dukkar.
When a great Lama dies it is an opportunity to merge our mind with theirs as they enter the clear light. We bow with great gratitude to Bardor Tulku for his selfless service in the dharma.
