The Great Atisha School Raffle-Winners!!!!

Students of Atisha Primary School for Tibetan refugee children, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Every year Tara Dhatu Humanitarian Outreach holds a raffle to raise funds for one of our projects. This year the headmaster of Atisha school in Kathmandu sent a request for help in improving the toilets. Our Humanitarian Outreach Director, Lilliha Herington, held a raffle to raise the requested $$$$$.

She is a master quilter and made all of the prizes!!

From her pen….

Halloween night Jackie Johnson, our database Tara in California,   chose four numbers to determine the

Prema's Computer Backpack

winners of the Atisha raffle.

Anahata's Quilted Computer Back Pack

Winner of the first prize is Julie Thomas from Ohio.  I will get together with Julie to plan her backpack or tote.  Congratulations, Julie.

Prema's Printer Bag

Every Tara mat is one of a kind

Helen Appell of Oregon, Jasmine Ginter of Hawaii and Elena Lopez Sans of New York each won a “Tara mat”, a lovely (if I do say so myself)

quilted mat/wallhanging in rich oriental-style fabric.  Your mats are now finished and I will get them in the mail to you this week.

Thanks to all of you who bought tickets.

This week I will wire $2,000 to Atisha Primary in Kathmandu, Nepal.  This money will be used on much-needed improvements on the toilets.

Love to all,

Lilliha
